Shared Services

Local Authorities are already facing major reductions in funding, which will get more severe over the coming years. The NLSA has been given a clear political steer that work on shared savings between north London boroughs to deliver more efficiency services is a priority. To take this forward the NLSA has secured funding from Capital Ambition.

In a short time NLSA has successfully driven forward the collaborative agenda. North London is actively exploring a range of opportunities for collaborative working to deliver cost savings across corporate services, Children’s and Adult Services, as well as regulatory services and transport. In addition we are taking forward work to deliver cost savings in the procurement of goods and services via greater collaboration.

The NLSA has conducted an initial scoping study on the areas for greater collobration, and we areworking with Captial Ambition and others on progressing these recommendations.
