Shared Services

Local Authorities are already facing major reductions in funding, which will get more severe over the coming years. The NLSA has been given a clear political steer that work on shared savings between north London boroughs to deliver more efficiency services is a priority. To take this forward the NLSA has secured funding from Capital Ambition.

In a short time NLSA has successfully driven forward the collaborative agenda. North London is actively exploring a range of opportunities for collaborative working to deliver cost savings across Corporate Services, Children’s and Adult Services. In addition we are taking forward work to deliver cost savings in the procurement of goods and services via greater collaboration.

The North London Collaborative Working and Efficiency Savings Board (chaired by Chief Executive of Haringey and attended by Finance Directors from the NLSA boroughs) provides governance for this initiative.
