Joining up housing, jobs and training in North London

The NLSA is hosting a conference looking the partnerships between RSLs, ALMOs, Boroughs and training providers on tackling worklessness. The event is on the 2nd December. Details of the conference are in the report below.

North London Skills and Employment Profile

NLSA commissioned a review of the key skills and employment data of the north London subregion. The report was launched in July 2008 and includes data on a range of different indicators, including population trends, worklessness and skills levels.

Town Centres

The NLSA commissioned a major review of the economic health of north London’s town centres.  The report outlines a series of often surprising conclusions from the evidence gained and proposes steps that could be taken to improve our town centres economic and employment potential.

The North London Strategic Alliance (NLSA) was established in 1999 as the sub-regional strategic partnership for North London, bring together public, private and voluntary organisations.

The NLSA currently works across Barnet, Enfield, Haringey and Waltham Forest. However this is a transitional period and the new sub regional arrangements being progressed by
the Greater London Authority means NLSA will also be looking to develop relationship across Camden, Hackney, Islington and Westminster.
