The North London Strategic Alliance (NLSA) was established in 1999 as the sub-regional strategic partnership for North London, bring together public, private and voluntary organisations.

A Working Future for North London’s Youth Conference - 13 May 2009

The conference looked at the transfer of responsibility for 16-19 education from the Learning and Skills Councils to boroughs (with effect from September 2010), with a presentation by Councillor James Kempton, Leader, London Borough of Islington and Chair of London 14-19 Education Regional Planning Group, examining what is proposed and how it will make a difference to young people in North London.

It also considered recent developments in apprenticeships via a presentation by Paul Head, Principal, CoNEL and Member of the London, Skills and Employment Board, along with various case studies on engaging young people.

Housing Growth: North London Development and Investment Framework – One Year On

North London is projected to deliver nearly 58,000 new homes by 2016, over 20% of London’s total. This report sets out the progress made in delivering these new homes across the subregion in the last year. It was launched by Iain Wright MP, the Minister with responsibility for housing growth, in January 2009.


North West London to Luton Coordination Corridor

North West London represents a concentrated area of growth - containing three of the UK’s largest regeneration projects – Kings Cross, Wembley, Brent Cross Cricklewood. NLSA has launched a report outlining the coordinated level of potential along this corridor within London.
